Notes from NEARIMeet 26th March 2026

The NEARIMeet of 26th March 2026 was a dynamic and dialogical meeting centred on the theme Action Research for Communities of Scholarship and Practice. The session fostered rich discussion on the role of action research in building collaborative, reflective, and practice-oriented communities.

The presenters included Prof David Coghlan (Professor and Fellow Emeritus at the Trinity Business School, Trinity College Dublin) as our guest speaker along with Colette Saunders (an Early Years Development Education Officer with Trócaire) and Janis Power (an Early Years Educator) explored a range of perspectives, highlighting how action research can bridge theory and practice, support participatory inquiry, and strengthen communities committed to shared learning and social change. Through presentations, examples from lived practice, and open dialogue with participants, the meeting created an atmosphere of collegial exchange and critical reflection.
