Autumn NEARIMeet 16th September 2023

The Autumn NEARIMeet will be both in person and online and will take place in the Froebel Department of Primary and Early Childhood Education in Maynooth University, Maynooth, Co. Kildare.

The theme of the meeting is Developing our Action Research Scholarship through First-, Second- and Third-Person Inquiry and Practice.

NEARIMeet is an opportunity for everyone who is interested in action research and practitioner research to come together and discuss their ideas. Beginners, as well as experienced researchers, are all welcome.

NEARI is delighted to welcome guest speaker Prof. David Coghlan to this NEARIMeet. 

Mags Amond and Denise Delaney will be the other presenters at this NEARIMeet.

David Coghlan is Professor Emeritus at the Trinity Business School, Trinity College Dublin. He is the author of numerous articles on action research and several books, including, Doing Action Research in Your Own Organization (Sage, 5th ed 2019) and Conducting Action Research for Business and Management Students (with A.B. Shani, Sage 2018) and is co-editor (with D. Szabla, B. Pasmore and J. Kim) of the Handbook of Research Methods in Organizational Change (Elgar, 2023) and (with M. Brydon-Miller) of the SAGE Encyclopedia of Action Research (2014). He is on the editorial board of several journals, including: The Journal of Applied Behavioral Science, Action Research, Systemic Practice & Action Research, and Action Learning Research & Practice.
